Apply to be a member of Ocean Optics XXV Planning Committee
The Ocean Optics Conference XXV Conference will take place in October 2020 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. Self-nominations are being accepted to become a member of the planning committee. This group is comprised of community members who support the event through selecting plenary speakers, inviting exhibitors and sponsors, and suggesting short courses, town halls and other events. Additional responsibilities include reviewing, ranking and scheduling abstracts submitted for oral presentation, reading extended abstracts submitted by students and selecting the Best Student Paper Award, and chairing one session during the conference. Community members who completed their final degree in 2016 or earlier are welcome to apply. The planning committee meets in Spring 2019 and June 2020, and each planning committee member is expected to provide their own financial support to travel to these meetings. Abstracts submitted by planning committee members will be assigned as poster presentations for 2020 conference. Please indicate your interest in serving on the planning committee by completing this survey by November 30. Planning Committee members will be announced in January 2019.
